The Out of Site Storage identity was drawn by Webics from scratch. The mark, the type and the colours are the foundation everything else in the brand is built on.
About the client
Who they are
Out of Site Storage opened self storage yards at Nowra and Huskisson and needed a brand before the gates did. Two sites, one business, and nothing yet to put on a sign, a card or a fence. They needed a mark that reads from a moving car at the front gate and still works at business card size.
The brand had to survive three very different jobs from day one: a sign read at road speed from the kerb, a card handed across the counter, and a website. That is a wide range for a two colour mark to hold together across.
The solution
What Webics delivered
Webics designed the Out of Site Storage identity around a single idea: the open cube. It is a storage unit and a packing carton at the same time, drawn as one continuous line so it holds together at any size, and it doubles as the counter for the S in Site. Red on charcoal, with a rounded sans that stays friendly rather than industrial.
We then took the mark straight into the pieces the business actually needed. A 2400 x 1200mm site sign, sized so the name and the phone number land before a driver has passed the gate. A business card with the cube lifted into a map pin, because a storage business with two yards is really selling location, backed with ruled lines so the counter staff can write a unit number on it.
Webics has hosted and looked after their website since the day the branding was signed off in 2018.
