Responsibilities and Duties:

We are seeking a casual talented web developer with sound technical web development skills to deliver high quality projects to clients at our Nowra office. You will be required to do the following:

  • Create template based websites using the Divi page builder for WordPress
  • Take ownership of projects from basic designing to developing
  • Implementing UX/UI principles in web designs
  • Providing web support and communicating (verbally and written) with clients 
  • Working with the design team to implement client branding and ensuring cohesive design
  • Working with the marketing team to implement website changes to achieve campaign outcomes 
  • Work on ad hoc duties as required including using your skill set within another division

 

Job Requirements

To complete all of the deliverables the right candidate will have:

  • A relevant IT degree/qualification or have equivalent industry experience
  • Minimum 2 year experience with WordPress
  • Sound knowledge and experience with WordPress
  • Experience developing responsive websites for mobile devices
  • Experience developing secure public facing websites
  • Excellent understanding of website usability, accessibility, security and information architecture
  • Sound knowledge and experience with HTML5 and CSS3 (including responsive CSS3)
  • Basic understanding of PHP and MySQL
  • Understanding of cPanel and DNS
  • Understanding of CMS platforms
  • Understanding of database concepts
  • Understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them
  • Enjoy working closely within a team to achieve campaign KPIs
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional time management and organisational skills, including the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Outstanding intuitive, analytical, problem-solving and creative skills

Desirable:

  • Basic understanding and experience using UI/UX principles and techniques, as well as having a passion for visual design

  • Experience with payment gateways & credit card transactions
  • Experience working in an agile environment
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite
  • Experience using Monday or other products in the Atlassian suite
  • Understanding of SEO requirements and techniques

Salary: Dependent on experience and qualifications

Position: Casual – as needed to assist with overflow work

Location: Webics Nowra office, but remote working considered for NSW and VIC residents only. You must be available between 9 am and 5 pm on weekdays.

  • Plan, create and manage social media content that builds followers and engagement for both Webics and our clients

  • Ensure content, graphics, copy and tone is fit for purpose for each social media platform – Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and TikTok (other platforms may be added based on business and client needs)
  • Stay on top of social media trends and influencers (be proactive and adaptable to optimise channels as they evolve)
  • Measure and report on performance
  • Optimise campaigns to drive results
  • Work in collaboration with our graphic design and copywriting team to create industry-leading content
  • Customer service (answering the phone and responding to emails)
  • General administration duties

Webics is a growing digital marketing agency based on the South Coast. We are currently seeking a permanent part-time or full time enthusiastic junior web developer / technical administrator.Responsibilities and Duties
  • Solving a wide range of customer support tickets
  • Troubleshooting website, hosting and email problems
  • Making changes to existing Websites
  • Google Workspace – creating new accounts & migrating old emails to Google Workspace
  • Assisting web design & development team with coding, configuration of WordPress and data entry
  • Customer Service (answering phone when necessary, responding to emails and updating client account information)
Qualifications & Skills
  • Basic understanding of HTML/CSS/JS/PHP/MySQL
  • Sound understanding of Hosting (cPanel), Domain & DNS
