Who they are
The Growers by Ponte is a relaxed indoor and outdoor restaurant and bar at Worrigee, ten minutes from Nowra on the NSW South Coast. Share plates are built on Shoalhaven produce, the wine list runs past two hundred bottles, and there is room outside for the kids to run around.
Most people arrive on the site with one of a handful of jobs in mind. Book a table, read the menu, see what is on this week, or ask about a function. Weddings, wakes, corporate lunches and venue hire are each a different question again, and each one goes to a different person at the venue.
Webics built their first website in 2024, on WordPress, for the launch of the venue. Two years on, the part of that site needing the most attention was the part the venue uses most: putting events up and taking them down again.
The solution
What Webics delivered
Webics rebuilt the site on the Webics platform and put it live on 11 September 2026, replacing the WordPress site with a static one. There is no database to query and no plugins to keep patched.
The whole site was rebuilt, and the changeover happened with no downtime: the old site was serving visitors right up until the new one took over.
Old links still work. We took a full inventory of the web addresses on the old site and mapped every one of them onto the new site, and most kept the same path rather than being redirected, so a bookmark, a link in an old email or an older Google result lands where it always did.
Their Google Analytics property and their Search Console ownership both carried across the rebuild, so nothing they were already measuring starts again from zero.
What's On now runs itself. A single file holds the events, and that one file drives the What's On page, the home page, the navigation and each event's own page, so an event is added once rather than in four places. Events come off the site automatically once they have been and gone, which means nobody has to remember to take last month's wine dinner off the front page.
The enquiry forms are protected by reCAPTCHA, and each form is routed to the people at the venue who handle that kind of enquiry rather than all landing in one inbox.
