About the client
Who they are
Wollongong 4x4 & Outdoor is a 4x4 and touring shop at 216 Corrimal Street, Wollongong, and the home of IRONMAN 4X4 Wollongong. Locally owned, servicing the Wollongong region since 2003. They supply bull bars, suspension, canopies, roof racks, towbars, drawers, fridges and 12V gear, and they fit it in their own workshop on site, work vehicle fit outs included.
The shop had changed its name and its branding. The website had not. It still sat on the old domain under the previous brand and ran to four pages: a home page, a services page, a contact page and one brand page.
The brief was a site that builds awareness of the Wollongong 4x4 name, shows the range and the brands they work with, and captures enquiries. Not a big site. A well designed one.
The solution
What Webics delivered
Webics designed and built a new nine page site and put it live on ironman4x4wollongong.com.au in October 2026.
Both names are on every page, which is what the shop asked for and what the IRONMAN 4X4 store guidelines require. Their store lockup leads in the header, and the Wollongong 4x4 & Outdoor mark sits beside it in the footer.
The range is twelve categories on one page, each one photographed: bull bars, suspension, canopies, roof racks, recovery gear, driving lights, dual battery and 12V, drawers and fridges, towbars, snorkels, camping and touring, and fuel and water. Suspension and fitting have a page each, because those are the two things people ring up about.
Almost all of this gear is vehicle specific, so the site asks what you drive before anything else. Make, model and year sit at the top of the home page and at the top of the quote form, and they arrive in the shop's inbox with the enquiry instead of being asked for on the phone afterwards.
Their Google reviews are on the home page, the real ones from their own profile. The contact page carries the address, a map and the Saturday morning hours.
The photographs of the shopfront and the workshop are the shop's own, so a visitor sees the building they would actually drive to.
We built it on the Webics platform rather than WordPress, so there are no plugins to patch, and both forms are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile. Webics hosts the site and looks after it.
